Introduction to Xixi Panshi Grand Canyon Scenic Area

Hunan Xixi Tourism Development Co., Ltd. was established on March 14, 2017. It is a joint-stock limited liability company jointly developed and constructed by villagers. The company is located in Xixi Panshi Grand Canyon Scenic Area, Tianxi Village, Zhangfang Town, at the southern foot of Dawei Mountain, known as the "Pearl of Xiangdong". It is 66 kilometers away from Liuyang City, adjacent to Daliu Expressway and Provincial Highway 309, with convenient transportation. The forest coverage rate of the scenic area is over 95%, belonging to the Quaternary glacial site, and it is the hometown of Hakka people. The supporting facilities in the scenic area are becoming increasingly perfect, including large parking lots, tourist service centers, riverside scenic belts, Hakka cultural squares, rural homestays, restaurants, and amusement projects.

Through the promotion of "tourism+poverty alleviation+rural revitalization" and strong support from various departments at higher levels, the infrastructure has been fully improved. The scenic area has driven villagers to open 72 rural homestays with a capacity of 1200 people per night, 13 restaurants, and 5 hotels, driving more than 600 labor force in the village, more than 120 young people returning home to work, more than 300 acres of small fruit picking gardens, and 2 amusement parks. In 2017, we successfully removed the label of a poverty-stricken village and the per capita income increased from 4700 yuan to 26000 yuan now. Led by the village party branch and hosted by Xixi Tourism Company, Tianxi Village has been successively awarded the titles of "Top 10 Most Charming Tourist Villages in Changsha", "Top 10 Rural Economic Projects in Changsha", "Key Village for Rural Tourism in Hunan Province", "Demonstration Village for Cultural and Tourism Poverty Alleviation in Hunan Province", "National Key Village for Rural Tourism" in 2020, "National 3A Tourist Scenic Area", and "Advanced Collective for Poverty Alleviation in Hunan Province" in 2021.

Here, Xixi has embarked on a distinctive development path of "company+cooperative+base+farmers", and Tianxi Village is currently applying for the national rural revitalization demonstration village.
